Britain’s Smart Cities

The Telegraph’s new one-day conference, Britain’s Smart Cities, took place in London on Wednesday 21 October 2015. More than half the world’s population now live in urban areas and this number is forecast to rise to 70 per cent by 2050. Smart systems are now critical to achieving long term sustainability. City leaders must balance the demands of improving and strengthening financial results, creating an attractive place in which to live and work, whilst also reducing environmental impact.
